LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Police are searching for a woman accused of killing a man in his home Tuesday afternoon.

Police say 39-year-old Dana Caldwell has active warrants for murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

It happened around 12:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Larkwood Drive.

Police say they found 38-year-old Daniel Eric Nantz at the scene with a gunshot wound and was taken to UK hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say Caldwell and the victim knew each other and were involved in a disorder prior to the shooting. Caldwell was seen fleeing the scene after the shot was fired.

Anyone with information about Caldwell’s whereabouts is asked to contact Lexington Police or submit an anonymous tip through Bluegrass Crime Stoppers.
