Arrest made in deadly shooting on Pennebaker Drive
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left a man dead on Pennebaker Drive.
According to an arrest citation, 37-year-old Carl Munford is facing charges of murder and wanton endangerment.
The shooting happened around 7 p.m. Sunday evening.
The coroner identified the victim as 28-year-old Devante Bell. Officers found Bell with gunshot wounds inside his vehicle and transported him to the hospital, where he later died.
The arrest citation says a small child was also inside the vehicle at the time.
A brawl broke out at the scene of the shooting and several people involved were handcuffed.
Munford is currently in the Fayette County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
