WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKYT) - Kentucky Congressman Hal Rogers has been accused of not completing the security screening at the U.S. Capitol.

The security measures were put in place after the Capitol riot.

Congressman Rogers provided this statement:

“On April 14, 2021, there was a simple misunderstanding on the House Floor after I went through the metal detectors to vote. I have filed an appeal with the House Ethics Committee, requesting an opportunity to explain the facts.”

Rogers is the third house member to be sanctioned by the House.
