Shoppers at Good Food Co-Op had the chance to help local women and children in need, and turned out in a big way.

The local grocery store teamed up with Greater Kentucky Credit Union to give back to those in need through their "Co-Ops for Community" donation drive.

Participants donated more than $2,000 worth of food and toiletries along with $1,300 for The Nest, a shelter for women, children and families in crisis.
