Community Corrections Hiring Event is This Saturday

Sponsored - The Lexington Division of Community Corrections will be hosting a hiring event this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The hiring event will be held at the Fayette County Detention Center at 600 Old Frankfort Circle, just off of New Circle Road.

Community Corrections offers great benefits to the employee while they get to complete a fulfilling career serving our city.  Starting pay is $32,000 with multiple opportunities for advancement. Other benefits include:

  • Health, vision and dental insurance for the officer and their family
  • 25 year hazardous-duty retirement
  • 5 weeks of paid leave earned each year
  • $1.00 / hour shift pay for second and third shifts
  • Up to $1,200 / year Tuition Reimbursement
  • Overtime opportunities are available

Correction Officers who join will receive 10 weeks of paid training before graduation and once they graduate, they will also receive a pay raise to over $34,000 annually before other incentives.

The Lexington Division of Community Corrections is a state-of-the-art facility that practices direct supervision.  By combining two elements, the physical design of the facility and an inmate management strategy, they are able to actively manage inmate behavior that results in a jail that is safer and more secure for staff, inmates and visitors.
